THE HAPPY COUPLE
Who knew that an Indian boy from Mumbai and Jewish girl from California would meet Salsa dancing? Well it’s true! We met 5 years ago when both of us had taken up the hobby as a way to meet new people and expand our ways of expressing ourselves. We were friends for several years before becoming a couple, but we always knew we had a special connection. Over the years we started to spend more and more time together and it was through this growing friendship that we finally knew we wanted to take the next step. Through our relationship, we have grown together and found amazing ways to integrate our two cultures. Friends and family are an integral part of our lives and a having close relationships is a core value for both of us. We are excited to take this next step in our lives and super happy to be surrounded by our closest friends and family at this joyous occasion!
Rohan was born in Mumbai, India. At the age of 17, he took the brave step of moving half way around the world for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. A software developer by training, Rohan has over 10 years of experience designing, developing and marketing web applications. Rohan has a lot of hobbies. Whether it is scuba diving off of the coast of California or skiing at lake Tahoe, Rohan is excited to have a partner who he can share adventures with. Being the logical person that he is, Nicole helps him get in touch with his emotions and experience a deeper connection with life.
Nicole was born in New Jersey but moved to Encinitas California at the young age of 5. She went to college at U.C. Santa Cruz where she majored in psychology and then to San Jose State for her masters in Social Work. Since then, she has held multiple jobs working in the social work and social justice fields. Her passions have taken her to her latest endeavor as a supervising social worker in the Alum Rock school district. Meeting Rohan has completed the one part of Nicole’s life that she has felt was missing. He brings balance and a calm presence which she knows will help to guide them through the ups and downs of life.
THE WEDDING
Our celebration will take place at the beautiful Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos, CA (we promise the wine is amazing!)
LOCATION
Housed in the caves and cellars of the historic Novitiate Winery, Testarossa Winery offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere for sampling some of California’s most sought-after Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
